In support of Aerobility, Help for Heroes
and the Dougie Dalzell Memorial Trust

Weekend Festival of Flight and Family Fun – a fabulous new two-day event celebrating the 75th anniversary of the airfield.

Seventy five years have passed since the needs of war gave rise to south-east England's Blackbushe Airport. Since opening in 1942 as an RAF bomber and fighter base this perfectly located airfield took on civil aviation activity with the advent of peace to become a major London airport in the 1950's and also the US Navy's only UK land base.

Closed by the government in 1960, the airfield continued under private ownership and today it is the thriving home to flying schools, disabled aviation charity Aerobility and varied business jet operations.

The 75th Anniversary celebrations will include both flying and ground events providing visitors the chance to experience a true celebration of flight. All profits from the "75th" will be donated to Aerobility, Help for Heroes and the Dougie Dalzell Memorial Trust who do so much for our injured service personnel and the disabled.

Blackbushe Airport opens its doors to the public for Blackbushe 75 – celebrating the incredible history of the airfield with a fantastic two-day Festival of Flight with visiting historic aircraft and entertainment on the ground.
